Pitman Dentists “Pedal for Promise”

On May 5th, 2012, South Jersey’s finest dental practice will saddle up on their 10-speed bikes for a ride between Medford and Tuckerton, NJ to benefit Urban Promise.  The event, aptly titled “Pedal for Promise,” will raise money for the UrbanPromise Academy’s experiential learning programs.  From the Urban Promise website:

Your involvement in Pedal for Promise will support experiential education at UrbanPromise Academy (UPA). UPA is a private high school that focuses on the needs of teens who have not met their academic potential in traditional public school settings. Students often enter the school two to three grade levels below average.

The Academy’s experiential learning excursions connect academic material to real-world experiences outside the classroom through UrbanPromise’s UrbanTrekker program. Students are also offered low student-to-teacher ratios, a family-style learning environment, community service opportunities, mentoring, and weekly Bible classes.

If you would like to join our dental staff on the ride, Click here to register.  If you would want to support a cyclist, Click here and search by the cyclist’s name.  And for more information, you can contact Susan at (856) 382-1865 or email her at swilhelm@urbanpromiseusa.org.

See you on the road!!!
